I attempted to recreate this cup which had me try techniques that I hadn't previously tried. These include making reflections on the cup and handle and shading it all in using lines. Although, the padded part of my finger blended in the lines. It was a simple practice, and gave an effect of having light in the scene. I tried it lightly and darkly and the result was pleasing. The picture could be shaded to make any lighting. Blending is something I would use in any project for its simplicity. It is a useful tool in sketching and worked for the cup sketch which I would anticipate on using.
