Reflection 5

This week I continued running 3 miles a day for 5 days. I have also continued with weight training. I have done chest, concentrated and hammer curls, leg curls and extensions, and ab workouts. The weight training has definitely helped to strengthen my body and it shows in my runs. I run more at ease because I am building a strong core. I've read more articles about training and I am looking for 10k races to sign up for. My diet fell off a little this week because of Halloween and candy. Starting this month, I am going on a "sugar strike." This is going to help me to stop depending on sugars. It is said to be difficult at first, but eventually it helps to stop the lethargic feeling you get after consuming sugar and is a healthier lifestyle. I am starting to look for new recipes as well for my diet. I am also researching what foods help give an energy boost before runs. This week, I want to increase my mileage to 3 and a quarter miles and do a more intense workout.
