Reflection 6

Throughout this week, I've been continuing my journey of learning how to play the guitar. After dedicating a week to learning how to read sheet music, I can say that my abilities have improved a lot. I am able to understand what the song should sound like in my head, but it's been a bit difficult to translate that information on the guitar. This is due to the fact that there's a lot of little impulses in the natural movements of my fingers that you kind of have to fight when placing your fingers on the frets. I have attempted to play a really easy song that my mom was teaching me, which was sort of a deviation from learning sheet music, but it seems like something that will help me in the long run. She said that it's actually an original piece made by my grandpa that he used to strum and hum to when she was a child, so I think it's important that I learn it. Overall, this week I have made good progress.
