Reflection 7

I have continued running at a 3 mile pace this past week for five days. On Saturday, I took my hour and fifteen minute cycling class and I felt better equipped for it. I have continued doing the squat challenge and I have noticed the difference in strength and tone of my legs. I have also been doing 100 to 200 calf raises per day and 2 minute planks for my core. I cheated on my diet a little this morning for breakfast (Cappuccino and sugary French Toast) but for the most part I have been sticking to healthy foods/snacks and black tea.

I have continued research on Runners World and I've found very interesting articles about how runner's injuries are genetic and different exercises for strengthening legs, especially calves. I just bought new running gear to prepare for the cold and new running sneakers (based on the advice from Runners World). I have yet to break them in, but they have been comfortable to walk in so far. Hopefully I will be able to better my running time this week or try to cover more mileage.
