Reflection Week Two

This week, I got a little closer to my 20% goal. After trying to memorize one certain note, I realized that I can't just dive in and try to memorize the chords, without really finding out what I'm working with. After strumming on the guitar a bit and trying to memorize one note at a time, it didn't really seem like it was sounding how it was supposed to sound (in reference to videos on YouTube). I realized, that the guitar wasn't even tuned. I downloaded an app called Guitar Tuner Free, and I used that to tune it up a bit. I'm exactly sure if I did it right, but according to the app, it's as close it can be to being tuned. It took a great deal of time, as in order to tune it I had to know where to place my fingers. So, I had to look up finger placements before strumming, which was pretty hard seeing as I barely know how to play. I think this exercise did help me a lot, because in the process of tuning it I began to apply the little that I knew about finger placements for notes on the guitar. Overall, I see an improvement, but I have a long way to go before I can really play the guitar.
