Proposal

My 20 Time Project is going to be to learn a coding software such as ruby, c++ and/or javascript. My final product/goal/accomplishment will be to understand the basis of the coding language and to create some sort of final product out of my newfound knowledge such as a website or a small game. To understand not memorize the basic coding commands. For example, in the coding software Ruby, it is imperative to understand what each command represents. In Ruby, print essentially prints the command, hence the name. That basic command is the basis for a much larger language. If the basis is understood, the process of learning will be much easier. In my opinion, the easy part of this project will be the learning process. Instructions to learn code is littered on the internet, with many companies providing free ways to learn code. After I get the hang of it, code should be a breeze. The difficult part of this project for me is to keep my temper in check. If something does not go my way when learning the software, I may flip out and get frustrated, stalling me from accomplishing the test at hand. Another problem will be time and time management. I will have to slot in time during my already crowded schedule. The time will be mostly in class for after school I am booked with after school activities.
