This week I was able to research things related to running. I came upon workouts that I can do after running. They are strengthening exercises. I went to my high school this morning to run the gravel with my dad. I did five laps with out stopping and didn't use my knee brace. My knee was bothering me but I know that is normal. An important part of being able to run is having the muscle to carry your body. If my legs are week, my knees will not have support. I will use these exercises I recently discovered from now on. I wasn't trying to over work myself or run at a certain time. It took me 34 minutes 24 seconds.
Lap 1- 6 min. 59 sec.; Lap 2- 6 min. 50 sec.; Lap 3- 7min. 06 sec; Lap 4- 7 min. 19 sec.;
Lap 5- 6 min. 03 sec.
The last lap took me about six minutes. In order to run all five laps in under thirty minutes, each lap would have to be ran in less than 6 minutes each. For the next few weeks I am going to run for 45 minutes then an hour. I am going to record my times but these runs are going to be to build my endurance and stamina.
