Reflection 1
This week was important because I had two games that we needed to win. After school I either had practice or games. My exercise would be included in those activities. In practice, we start by stretching and then aerobic stretches. We won one game and lost the other. My body was exhausted by the end of the week. This week was mentally strengthening because we wanted to move on to county tournaments. Therefore, there was no fooling around at practice and as an individual you set a focus on the goal. The goal was to win against Roselle Catholic but we lost and we continue to become better. I was not able to run the gravel track this week but I plan to next week. My plan is to go to my high school during the week and run five laps and record my time. I will also record the time it took for every lap. I will write down my times and decide what the average time per lap is. I am not looking for a certain time. I will just run at the pace my body is able to endure. I plan to use extra time during practice to stretch and see the school athletic training about my knee. I try to ice my knee after practice because it tends to be sore. Although this week did not include running aside from soccer, I was able to wake up earlier in the morning and have time to eat a bowl of oatmeal and drink some tea. Eating breakfast at a leisurely pace in the morning has never been a custom for me but it has shown to do some good. I have time to eat and digest a healthy meal in order to go through a school day not feeling fatigued. I am also going to sleep before eleven and making sure my homework is done after school. These time management skills are going to become a regular habit. I can now allow myself to manage my free time. For example, after eating breakfast I can go on a walk or run. I am looking forward to this because in the past it has proven to be a great jump-start to any day.
