Reflection 15 (real)

The week coming back form winter break was extremely cold. I wasn't expecting the major change in temperature but I mean it is winter. Usually my Saturday run has an option to rest or run but my training program now just says to run. It is only a 2 mile run which is very light so I am happy. I was supposed to run on Wednesday for 45 minutes but the temperatures did not allow me to because I wasn't feeling to well. Not following through with my training is disappointing but sometimes I will need a break and that is okay. I can be too hard on myself. I have to trust my body. So for my Friday run I was scheduled to run for 40 minutes (4 miles). I will do that and take a break and run another mile at a fast pace to push myself and makeup for missing the previous run. Having a schedule to follow is great and it puts a lot of pressure on me to follow through with the program. I am okay with giving myself breaks as long as I put in greater effort or make up for it. During my 20% time I researched ways to deal with the cold weather when running. It is safe to run even when the temperature is below 0 degrees. The key is to dress warm, have a good warm up and mentally prepare yourself. I was looking to challenge myself and my discipline and this is my opportunity to prove I have what it takes.
