Reflection (14th)

I attempted to sketch the basket shown below. It involved basic techniques including: hatching, cross-hatching and contour hatching. It was not difficult creating the ellipse or making the shape, generally. The basket’s sides are drawn evenly and the shading came natural to me. Practicing, I discovered this type of style is easy for me, since I’ve practiced drawing a lot of cylinders, or objects made of cylinders. It was a simple sketch but showed me where my progress is, and I am making improvement, being more comfortable holding the pencil and not as intimidated looking at the sketch before I start sketching; there are many other aspects I could still learn.
