Proposal
I was accepted into the World Scholar's Program at the University of Delaware which means I will be studying abroad my first semester in Rome, Italy. I want to start learning Italian in order to communicate better for the four months I will be staying there. Most of my 20% time will be done at home, reading and researching how to pronounce and recite Italian vocabulary. In school I can also watch videos and look online for tips. I want to learn important phrases, but I also want to be able to hold conversations. I speak Spanish already so there are a lot of similarities and although a few weeks is not a long time to learn and understand a language completely it will still help me to start the process before departing for Rome.

Congrats on your acceptance! What an awesome opportunity. This looks like a good plan to get your started on your summer of learning Italian. Set up a game plan for what you will achieve each week.. develop a specific schedule.
